Held in Philadelphia each year over the 4th of July weekend, the Independence Day Regatta attracts crews from around the country. Many Cornell alumni compete for their local clubs. Last year Cornell dominated the father/daughter race with three entries, with Kelly Albanir '16 and dad Alan triumphing. Ivan Rudolph-Shabinsky '86 and daughter Alice '18 are looking for a rematch. Other alumni competing recently included Peter Klose '89, Brad Boericke '86, David Stanton '87.
