Cornell Rowing Association Mission

"The Cornell Rowing Association pledge their financial and other support to Cornell Rowing so as to enable Cornell Rowers to achieve winning rowing performance."

The Cornell Rowing Association (CRA) was founded on August 27, 1976 and consists of alumni and friends of Cornell Rowing. The CRA's mission is to support, encourage and promote rowing as a premier sport for men and women at Cornell University. A key element of this mission is to work with coaches and Alumni Affairs and Development staff in the area of annual fund-raising for operations, endowment, and capital needs. Utilizing the Courtney-Sanford fund, the Cornell Rowing Annual Fund, and other specified funds as repositories for gifts and bequests, the CRA shall provide the means to assist Cornell's Department of Athletics and rowing staff in ensuring that the sport of rowing is conducted at a highly competitive level.
